What are ACSM files?

Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) uses ACSM files to download DRM-protected ebooks. An ACSM file acts as download instructions between ADE and the ebook itself.

After downloading the ACSM file for a borrowed book, follow the prompts to open it with ADE. You can also set ADE to open ACSM files automatically.
