How to use the audiobook player in OverDrive for Windows 8/10

The OverDrive app for Windows 8/10 can only be used in select countries. If you can't use the OverDrive app, we encourage you to try our newer reading app, Libby. Get started with Libby.

Once you've borrowed and downloaded an audiobook in the OverDrive app, go to the app home screen, then click or tap the audiobook to start listening.

How to use the audiobook player:

Audiobook player options (based on the numbered image above):

1. Back to home screen
2. Launch burn wizard in desktop app
3. Launch transfer wizard in desktop app
4. Bookmarks
5. Parts and media markers
6. Jump to previous media marker
7. Back 15 seconds
8. Forward 15 seconds
9. Jump to next media marker
10. Sleep timer
11. Play speed
12. Add a bookmark

Scroll right to see all of the media markers (like chapters or chapter sections) and parts of the audiobook.
