1063 error in OverDrive for Android

This error typically occurs because the OverDrive app is having trouble saving files to your device. To resolve this issue, use the steps below.

  1. If your device is plugged into your computer, unplug it. Then, try downloading the title again.
    If it downloads successfully, there's no need to continue to step 2.
    Note: To avoid this error in the future, make sure your device isn't connected to a computer when downloading titles to the OverDrive app.
  2. Restart your device, then try downloading the title again.
    If it downloads successfully, there's no need to continue to step 3.
  3. Delete the files for the title, but don't return it. Then, try downloading the title again from the app Bookshelf.
    If it downloads successfully, there's no need to continue to step 4.
  4. Delete your app cookies.
    • Open the Home menu.
    • Tap Settings.
    • Scroll down and tap Delete app cookies.
    • Try downloading the title again.
