If you'd like to use iTunes to listen to borrowed audiobooks or sync them to an iPod, you'll need to download them to your computer using OverDrive for Windows (desktop), then import them into iTunes.

Note: We recommend that you use the latest version of iTunes when following these steps.

  1. Download a borrowed audiobook. You'll need to open it in OverDrive for Windows (desktop) to finish the download.
  2. Open iTunes.
  3. Go to File > Add Folder to Library.

  4. Navigate to the folder where borrowed audiobooks are downloaded. By default, you'll find it here: C:\Users\[your username]\Documents\My Media\MP3 Audiobooks.
  5. Highlight the audiobook folder you'd like to import, then click Select Folder. All the files in the folder will be added to your iTunes library.

Now you can listen from iTunes or sync audiobooks to an iPod. You'll find imported audiobooks in iTunes under Music > Library.

If you'd like to change where audiobooks appear in iTunes and on your device, we can help with that too.
