eBooks from your library may come with multiple download formats. You can choose one downloadable format for each eBook after you borrow it, using the steps below.

  1. After you borrow an eBook, select books icon to go to your Loans page.
  2. Select the Download drop-down and pick from the list of available formats. If you don't see a drop-down menu, the eBook only comes in one download format.

    Note: If you're using your web browser, you may also see a "Read in browser" option (on your Loans page), which will be available even after you choose a downloadable format.

Some eBooks come in multiple download formats. You can choose one download format for each eBook after you borrow it, using the steps below.

Note: Once you choose a download format, you can't switch to a different download format for that eBook. However, if the eBook comes in OverDrive Read (read in your browser) format, that option will always be available.

  1. After you borrow an eBook, it will appear on your Checkouts page (under your Account) on your library's OverDrive website. From there, select the Download (Select one format) button to open a list of available formats.

    Note: If an eBook's Download button doesn't say (Select one format), that means the eBook only comes in one download format.
  2. Select your desired format, then select the Confirm link at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
