You may get an error that looks like the one below when attempting to open an eBook in Adobe Digital Editions (ADE):

Error: Unable to open [title]
No record for this loan is found on this machine.

If you see this error, it may mean that your OverDrive account or Adobe ID authorization has been deleted from ADE. Follow the steps below to resolve the error:

  1. Make sure your computer is authorized with the original account you used to download the eBook.
  2. Delete the title from ADE.
  3. Download it again from your library's OverDrive website.

This error can also happen when you have an eBook device (or other media player) plugged into your computer while trying to open a title in ADE. Try unplugging your device, then opening the title again from your ADE bookshelf.
