You may get an error like the one below when trying to open an ebook in Adobe Digital Editions (ADE):
Error: Unable to open [title]
No record for this loan is found on this machine.
If you see this error, it may mean that your OverDrive account or Adobe ID authorization was deleted from ADE. You may be able to resolve the error by following these steps:
- Make sure your computer is authorized with the original account you used to download the ebook.
- Delete the title from ADE.
- Download it again from your library's OverDrive website.
This error can also happen when you have an ereader (or other media player) plugged into your computer while trying to open a title in ADE. In that case, try unplugging your device, then opening the title again from your ADE bookshelf.
