Choose the image below that looks like the titles in your library's collection.
Once you borrow a title from your library, you'll find it on your library Loans page (under ). From there, select Download to add the title to your Bookshelf in the OverDrive app.
If you're using an iOS or Android device, most streaming videos will also be added to the app Bookshelf when you select Watch now.
Note: Some titles, like read-alongs and graphic novels, can't be downloaded to the OverDrive app. Instead, you can select Read now in browser to open these titles in your device's web browser. These titles won't be added to your app Bookshelf.
Follow these steps to navigate from your library back to your Bookshelf and open the title:
- On Android, Chromebook, and iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch): Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner of the app to open the Home menu, then tap Bookshelf.
- On Windows 8/10: Click or tap the Back arrow in the top-left corner of the app until you return to the app home screen.
Once you borrow a title from your library, go to your Checkouts page (under your Account), then select Add to app or Download. This will add the title to your Bookshelf in the OverDrive app.
Note: If you borrowed an eBook, you may be prompted to choose a download format. If you want to download the eBook to the OverDrive app, select EPUB eBook, then select the Confirm link.
If you select the Read, Listen, or Play buttons on your Checkouts page instead, the title will open in your browser and will not be added to your app Bookshelf.
Follow the steps below to find a title after you've added it to your app Bookshelf.
On Android, Chromebook, and iOS
- Tap the icon in the top-left corner of the app to open the Home menu.
- Select Bookshelf.
- Tap a title to open and start enjoying.
On Windows 8
Click or tap the Back arrow in the top-left corner of the app until you return to the app Bookshelf. From there, select a title to start reading or listening.
