If you belong to a public library and you're just getting started with OverDrive, we recommend trying our new app, Libby. Libby is the easiest way to borrow and enjoy digital content from your library, and is available for Android, iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch), and Windows 10. Learn more about Libby here.

You can use the OverDrive app to borrow and enjoy digital titles from your library or school. The OverDrive app is available for Android, Chromebook, iOS, Kindle Fire, and Windows 8/10.

Step 1

Install the OverDrive app from your device's app store or from app.overdrive.com.

Step 2

Open the OverDrive app and follow the prompts to sign in (or sign up) using your library card, Facebook, or a free OverDrive account. Learn which sign-in option is right for you here.

If you're under 13, you can use one of the under-13 sign-in options.

Step 3

In the OverDrive app, find your library or school's digital collection (see specific steps for Android/Kindle Fire, Chromebook, iOS, or Windows 8/10).

Once you've found it, click or tap the collection name to start browsing. This will also automatically save the collection to your library list in the app.

Now, choose the image below that looks like the titles in your library's collection.
