We recommend using the OverDrive app to quickly find and get eBooks, audiobooks, streaming videos, and periodicals from your library or school.

If you don't want to install an app, you can read eBooks and listen to audiobooks in your web browser instead. Visit these help articles to learn more: Getting started with OverDrive Read and Getting started with OverDrive Listen.

  2. Add your library to the app and open its digital collection.
  3. Find an available title in your library's collection and select Borrow.
Or, click or tap the title's jacket to open its details page (where you can read a description, choose a lending period that's different from your default lending period, borrow the title, and more).

Note: If you're getting a magazine or newspaper (U.S. only), you'll see Send to NOOK app instead of Borrow. See getting started with periodicals for more help.
  4. To see all your options for borrowed titles, select books icon to open your Loans page. From there, you can:
    • Download EPUB eBooks to your app Bookshelf. Or, you may be able to choose Kindle Book (U.S. only) to go to Amazon's website and send the book to your Kindle or Kindle reading app.
    • Download audiobooks to your app Bookshelf.
    • Watch streaming video in a new tab in your web browser.
    • Some eBooks, like read-alongs, can only be read in your web browser. For these titles, select Read in browser to be taken out of the app and into your web browser to read them. These books are not added to your Bookshelf in the OverDrive app.
