By default, OverDrive's app for Android, Chromebook, iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch), and Windows 8/10 collects anonymous usage data and sends it to us. We use this information to help make our apps better.
No sensitive data is collected, and we don't receive any information that could tell us who you are. We cannot look up an individual user's data. Instead, we look at the big picture. For example, we might run a report about the average number of books on a user's bookshelf or how many people are using the share feature.
Sending this anonymous information to us doesn't use much data, so it shouldn't slow your connection down or contribute to overages.
If you don't want to participate, you can opt out of sending us usage data by disabling the option in your settings.
