Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) is uniquely registered to a user's personal account on a computer. This means that multiple users with different OverDrive accounts or Adobe IDs can use ADE on one computer as long as each user has authorized ADE with their own ID under their personal account. Learn how to authorize ADE.

For example, if you and your spouse share one computer, and you both want to transfer eBooks from that computer to two separate eReaders (authorized with separate IDs), you can do this if you each have your own personal account on the computer. Then, you can log into your account, install and authorize ADE, and transfer eBooks to your own device.
