3001 and 3006 errors are typically caused by a bad download, which makes it impossible to open the eBook correctly. To resolve this issue, use the steps below to delete the eBook from the OverDrive app, then re-download it from your library's OverDrive collection.

OverDrive app v3.0 and higher

  1. Delete the files for the title (but don't return it).
  2. Delete your app cookies.
    • Open the Home menu.
    • Tap Settings.
    • Tap Delete app cookies.
  3. Go back to your app bookshelf, select the title that was just deleted, then download it again.
