You may need to reinstall iTunes if you're having trouble transferring an audiobook to an Apple device through OverDrive's desktop app. It may help resolve issues like this one: "Transfer Wizard is not able to connect to iTunes, requires v9.0.2 or newer" or the 0x800706BA error in iTunes.

Uninstall iTunes

Follow the instructions on Microsoft's support website to uninstall iTunes.

Reinstall iTunes

  1. Download iTunes.
    • After the download is complete, double-click the installation file.
    • Follow the steps to complete the installation.
    • When installation is complete, click Finish.
  2. Launch iTunes to complete the reinstall.

Once you've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, please try transferring the audiobook again. If you're still having trouble, please try reinstalling OverDrive's desktop app.
