If Adobe Digital Editions isn't working properly
There are a few ways you can try to fix issues with downloading or transferring ebooks using Adobe Digital Editions (ADE):
- Update to the most recent version of ADE, then try downloading or transferring the ebook again.
- Uninstall and reinstall ADE. Then, try downloading or transferring the ebook again. You may need to reauthorize ADE upon reinstallation.
Important: Adobe IDs are no longer supported in ADE. If you originally used an Adobe ID to authorize ADE, you'll need to use a ByteBooks ID instead when reauthorizing. To retain access to ebooks that you downloaded with your Adobe ID, create your ByteBooks ID using the same email address that you used for your Adobe ID.
If you tried these steps but keep having issues, we recommend contacting Wipro/ByteBooks (the company that now manages Adobe's ebook platform) for more support: ebooks-support@wipro.com.
You can also enjoy free ebooks from your library without ADE using the options below.
If you have a device that meets these system requirements, you can enjoy ebooks from your library with the Libby app. All you need to get started is an internet connection and a library card.
- You can enjoy many ebooks on a Kindle ereader or Kindle reading app using OverDrive's Kindle Book format (U.S. only).
- You can also enjoy ebooks from your library using OverDrive on a compatible Kobo.
You can enjoy most ebooks right in your web browser using OverDrive Read.
