OverDrive Read has many of the same features as popular reading apps and eBook readers, like the ability to add bookmarks, search for terms, add notes and highlights, look up words, and change the font. It also offers some extra features, like fixed layout support for graphic-heavy eBooks and professional narration for some titles.
As long as you have an active internet connection, you can return to an OverDrive Read eBook at any time during your lending period and your place, bookmarks, notes, and highlights will be saved. And, if you borrow the same eBook in the future, you'll have access to your old bookmarks, notes, and highlights.
Yes. On most devices, select Offline Access from the OverDrive Read menu, then the cloud icon to cache (download) an eBook so you can read it offline. Make sure to also bookmark the eBook in your browser or save the eBook's URL so you can get back to it in your browser once you're offline.
Note: Some eBooks, like narrated or fixed-layout eBooks, are too large to completely cache (download) in your browser
