You can choose to have digital titles that you place on hold automatically borrowed for you as soon as they become available.

If you choose not to have a title on hold automatically borrowed for you, then you'll receive an email when that title becomes available, instructing you to borrow the title before your hold expires.

To borrow the title, follow the steps below.

  1. Follow the link from your email to get to your Holds list on your library's digital collection website.
Or, you can go directly to your library's digital collection website, log in, and find your Holds list under your Account. Your Account icon will have a red notification on it to let you know your hold is available.

  2. From your Holds page, click the Borrow button to check out the title.

Note: If you have already borrowed the maximum number of titles from your library, you will be unable to retrieve your hold (even if you've enabled automatic borrowing) until you return a title or a lending period expires.
