The OverDrive app is a great way to quickly find and get eBooks, audiobooks, streaming videos, and periodicals from your library or school.

If you'd rather read eBooks or listen to audiobooks without installing an app, you can use your web browser to borrow and read OverDrive Read and MediaDo Reader eBooks and listen to OverDrive Listen audiobooks. To use your browser instead of the OverDrive app, find your library's OverDrive website on overdrive.com, then skip to the "Borrow and enjoy" section below.

Set up the OverDrive app

  1. Install the OverDrive app from the Apple App Store. The first time you open the app, you'll be prompted to sign in.
Note: If you're under 13, you may have multiple sign-in options. Learn which under-13 option is right for you.
  2. In the app, tap the icon in the top-left corner to open the Home menu and see your "My libraries" list.
  3. Tap a library from your list to go to its OverDrive website.
If your list is empty, or you want to add a new library, tap Add a library and follow the prompts.
