The Kindle Fire is equipped with the 'Silk' browser which was developed by Amazon. Due to the security settings we use to protect our titles and our users, the Accelerate page loading option in the browser can cause issues with library websites.
If you're having trouble viewing library sites on your Kindle Fire, please try disabling Accelerate page loading in the browser.
Open the browser by tapping Web from the top of your home screen.
Tap the Menu button along the bottom of the screen. This looks like a box with three horizontal lines.
Find Accelerate page loading and make sure that it is unchecked.
Press the Back button (the arrow pointing to the left), then try loading your library page again by tapping the circular arrows on the right side of the address bar.
Now that you've changed this setting in your browser, you should be able to download titles with ease.
If you're still having trouble with any aspect of your library's website, you may also want to try setting your web browser to 'optimize pages for mobile view.'
From your browser settings, tap Desktop or mobile view, then select Mobile: Optimize for mobile view.
