Publishers decide the digital rights for their titles. Digital rights (permissions) outline what you can do with a borrowed title.
There are two places you can see the digital rights information for a title.
Check your library's digital collection website.
Click on a title to bring up the details page.
From there, look for the heading 'Digital Rights Information' to see the permissions.
If you have already downloaded a title, you can find the permissions in OverDrive Media Console (OMC) or Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) using your computer.
OMC: Select the desired title, then the Properties button, then the License tab.
ADE: In the 'Library View,' right-click an eBook, then click Item Info to see the permissions.
Burn to CD: Burn an audiobook to CD.
Transfer to device: Transfer titles to a device. This may be limited to a set number of transfers.
Transfer to Apple device: Publishers can restrict transfer to Apple devices.
Public performance: Playing the title in a place open to the public.
File-sharing: Share the file with others over a public or private network.
Peer-to-peer usage: Distribute the file to others over a local or internet-based network.
Copy Text: Select text to copy and paste. This may be restricted (example: 21 times every 7 days).
Print from Adobe: Select pages to print. This may be restricted (example: 21 times every 7 days).
