How to transfer titles to a Kobo eReader

With Adobe Digital Editions (ADE), you can easily transfer eBooks from your computer to your Kobo eReader.

Note: The Kobo Vox functions like an Android tablet, so you cannot use ADE to transfer eBooks to it. Instead, install OverDrive Media Console and download titles directly to your Vox.

Note: These instructions are for ADE 2.0. Please make sure you're using the most up-to-date version before continuing.

What you need

• Adobe Digital Editions installed on your Windows or Mac computer

• A Kobo eReader

• USB cable that came with the Kobo eReader

• An eBook

• Adobe Digital Editions

• An Adobe ID

• Both your Kobo eReader and your computer authorized with the same Adobe ID

Transferring eBooks to a Kobo eReader

1. Connect the eBook reader to your computer.

2. Open ADE on your computer. Make sure you're in 'Library' view.
   Your Kobo should show up under 'Devices.'
   
   

3. Click on an eBook then drag it over to your Kobo.
   
   

Once the transfer is complete, you can disconnect your Kobo and start reading.
