How to authorize OverDrive's mobile app for Windows Phone using an Adobe ID

To read downloaded DRM-protected eBooks on a Windows Phone device, you will need to authorize OverDrive Media Console (OMC) with an Adobe ID. To enjoy eBooks on additional computers and devices, be sure to authorize each with the same Adobe ID. You may authorize up to six computers and/or devices.

What you need

• Your Windows Phone device

• OverDrive's mobile app for Window Phone

How to authorize

1. A prompt displays the first time you download an eBook to OverDrive Media Console (OMC) for Windows Phone.
   
   

2. If you have an Adobe ID:

   • Go to settings.

   • Enter your Adobe ID and password.

   • Tap Authorize.

3. If you do not have an Adobe ID:

   • Go to settings and tap Get Adobe ID. This will open Adobe's website.

   • Follow the steps to create an Adobe account.

   • Return to OMC, then go to Get Books > Settings > Authorize.

   • Enter your newly created Adobe ID, then tap Authorize.

Note: If you would like to download the same eBook to another computer or device, be sure to authorize using the same Adobe ID.
