OverDrive One is a free, opt-in service available to OverDrive Media Console (OMC) 3 users. With an OverDrive One account, you can sync your reading progress, bookmarks, and saved libraries across devices.
Sync your progress and bookmarks Once you sign into your OverDrive One account and download eBooks and audiobooks to OMC 3 on each of your supported devices, your reading progress and bookmarks will automatically sync between those devices. This way, when you switch from your iPhone to your Nexus 7, you don't have to spend time fast-forwarding or scrolling through pages to get to where you want to be.
Sync your saved OverDrive libraries When you save libraries on the OverDrive One website, or through a device with OMC 3 that's signed into OverDrive One, they are saved to your OverDrive One account. If you get a new tablet, all you have to do is install OMC 3 and sign into OverDrive One. Your libraries will then automatically show up in OMC on your device. Note: OverDrive One does not currently download titles automatically from your library. To sync reading progress and bookmarks, you must download titles to each device from your library bookshelf.
OMC 3 is required to take advantage of mobile syncingOverDrive One is a feature of OMC 3, which is supported on Android 4.0+, iOS 6+ (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch), and Windows 8 and Windows RT devices. If you're not sure which version of Android or iOS you have, you should be able to find this information through your device settings.
Sign up on the web or your mobile device You can sign up for an OverDrive One account on one.overdrive.com, or through OMC 3. To sign up through the Android or iOS app, open the Home menu (by tapping the icon in the top-left) and select OverDrive One, then follow the prompts to get an OverDrive One account. If you're using OMC for Windows 8, click or tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner, then select OverDrive One, then follow the prompts to get an OverDrive One account.
Log in with each device you want synced Once you're logged into your OverDrive One account on multiple devices, your progress and bookmarks are synced automatically for any titles you've downloaded to those devices. Be sure to log into OverDrive One through OMC on each device to enable syncing.
Download books you'd like synced on each device To pick up where you've left off or see your bookmarks on a new device, download the title from your library bookshelf to OMC. Once it's there (and you've signed in), syncing between devices happens automatically.
