How to transfer MP3 audiobooks to an MP3 player using a Mac
To transfer MP3 titles to your MP3 player on a Mac, you need to use 'Finder' to manually copy the files to your device.
What you need
Use Finder to copy the audiobook to your device
-
Plug your MP3 player into your computer.
-
Open a 'Finder' window.
-
Navigate to Documents > My Media > MP3 Audiobooks.
-
Open a new 'Finder' window (you can use Control + N on your keyboard).
-
Navigate to your MP3 player, which should be listed in the left-hand panel under 'Devices.'
-
Drag the audiobook from 'MP3 Audiobooks' to your device.
You can put the audiobook in the same place as your music, or with other audiobooks.
If you transferred the folder containing the audiobook to your device and are having trouble, try transferring the MP3 files inside the folder to your device instead.
You can usually copy your audiobooks to the same location as the rest of your music, but some devices have a separate audiobook folder. If so, you should transfer the files to the audiobook folder so they're easier to find.
