How to remove audiobooks from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod
If you need to remove titles from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod, you can use iTunes to manually delete files. If you are using an iOS device (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch), you can use OverDrive's mobile app to download, return, and delete titles directly on the device.
-
Open iTunes.
-
Connect your device to your computer.
-
Select your device from the upper right-hand corner of the iTunes window.

-
Under the Summary tab, select Manually manage music and videos.

-
Select the On This iPhone/iPad/iPod tab.

-
MP3 audiobooks are usually found under 'Music.'
Select the MP3 title(s) you want to delete. Press the Delete key on your keyboard.

-
WMA audiobooks are usually located in a 'Playlist.'
Select the playlist(s) you want to delete. Right-click (or Control-click on a Mac) the playlist, then select Delete.

-
WMA titles are also stored under Books. To completely remove them from your device, you may have to delete them there as well.
Select the WMA title(s) you want to delete. Press the Delete key on your keyboard.

-
When you finish deleting titles, click Done.

-
Click the eject button to the right of your device's name. This will safely remove your device.
